FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hair Transplantation is a procedure in which hair follicles collected from the hairy areas of the individuals who have hair loss problem are transplanted into the hairless area. First of all, hair follicles that will be used as a donor must be collected. For this procedure, the individual himself is used as a donor and hair follicles are collected from the hairy areas in an unapparent way and then hair transplantation is conducted.
You should contact us for more information about hair transplantation activities which constitute the main field of operation of our service center!
The duration of hair transplantation is different for each person. While the transplantation procedure is completed quickly for individuals that have less graft, a procedure of 3.500 grafts on average can be completed within 6 hours, if bleeding or any complications do not occur.
During hair transplantation, grafts are separated from bloody tissue and kept outside. Hair follicles are generally kept in a special liquid in a cool area. The duration of survival of grafts outside human body is approximately from 6 to 8 hours. After they are taken out of liquid, they must be transplanted very quickly and kept damp. Otherwise, they will start to die. In addition, it is known that after 6 to 8 hours, the ratio of survival of grafts is reduced by 10 to 20% per hour.
The most effective technique is Micro-Fue method, which is recognized as golden standard by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). Even if the protocols and surgical materials change each and every day, the implemented technique is currently same. The techniques such as sapphire FUE and Percutaneous FUE have been basically created as a result of the improvement of the surgical materials used in the FUE technique.
A donor area is the area from where the grafts to be transplanted are collected in the micro-fue procedure. Generally, the hair behind the head is used as a donor. The most successful and natural results are achieved by collecting grafts from the back of the head. If there is no sufficient graft on the back of the head, the hair on beard and chest can be collected.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Male Pattern Hair Loss
Male pattern hair loss generally starts with a loss of hair on the temporal side or with thinner hair appearance on the crown area, and in certain cases, it continues with progressive reduction and full loss subsequently. The hairs on the back of the neck and above the ear are rarely lost, but the hairs on the back of the neck might lose in the men aged above seventy. The Hamilton–Norwood scale classifies Androgenetic hair loss in men. There are three causal factors behind Androgenetic hair loss: genetic susceptibility, presence of androgenic hormone and age of the patient. Male pattern hair loss is mostly transferred from mother and grandfather. In puberty, most of the androgenic hormone circulates in body and causes the genetically programmed hairs (in the scale areas) to create thinner and shorter hairs in each new hair growth cycle. Androgenic hormone reaches the target organ and in this case, it converts androgenic hormone in terms of 5α-reductase enzyme and hair follicle into stronger DHT hormone, which leads to the above-mentioned effects and it triggers hair loss.
Female Pattern Hair Loss
Female pattern hair loss occurs with a dispersed loss on the front and crown area of the scalp (Ludwig model) and rarely on the back of head and sides. Gaps tend to be visible larger, and the scalp is more visible on the front and middle of head. This is a slow and progressive process and rarely covers the entire area. Androgenetic hair loss in women generally starts with the hormonal changes that occur in puberty, pregnancy or after menopause, and is quite common in women above the age of 80. Although there is normally no visible hair loss of this type, a prolonged excessive loss (telogen effluvium) emerges before the occurrence of this situation. Androgenetic hair loss depends upon three causal factors as age, genetics and presence of androgenic hormone. The hair that gets thinner after menopause is associated with reduction of estrogen.

FUE Hair Transplantation:
FUE hair transplantation technique is currently the most preferred hair transplantation method. When it is considered in terms of price and efficacy, this technique is widely preferred by the individuals that have baldness problem and the medical organizations that implement this treatment.
In the FUE technique hair follicles which are generally collected from the back of head of a patient by using 0.6-0.7 mm thick surgical scalpel called punch are transplanted into the areas of hair loss. Upon the procedure, the transplanted hair follicles start to grow immediately. The micro wounds on the back of head generally recover within 48 hours. You can return to your working life in the 3rd day and to your normal life in the 10th day following the completion of the procedure. This technique is called Micro FUE due to the micro size surgical instruments used in the procedure.
How is the FUE Hair transplantation Implemented?
1.Your eligibility for the treatment and your medical background is assessed by our specialists.
2.Upon deciding on the day of procedure, the instructions that the patient is required to observe are explained to you.

4.Usually, your hair is shaved at the hospital and necessary information is provided to the individuals who will receive hair transplant without shaving and they are recommended to shave at the hospital.
5.The procedure starts with the application of anesthesia, and the donor area where the follicles will be collected is sedated with anesthesia, and the procedure to collect follicles is initiated.
6.Upon collection, the follicles are prepared and counted for transplant within special solutions.
7.The transplant area is sedated with local anesthesia.
8.Micro incisions are created in the transplant area according to the number and direction of hair follicles.
9.Healthy hair follicles collected from the back of head are transplanted one-by-one into the micro incisions.
10.After the procedure, antibiotics and painkillers are administered to the patient.
11.The headbands are removed at the hospital in the next day after the procedure and the necessary dressings are applied.
12.The first washing is done in the hospital. All information is provided to the patient during the washing.
13.The washing should be performed once per day until the 10th day in the same way as instructed by the relevant doctor.
14.When the patient visits the hospital for follow-up in the 10th day, the crusting should have been fully disappeared, and the remaining crusts are removed by the relevant doctor at the hospital.

What is Beard Transplant?
Beard transplant applied to those having patchy beard is preferred particularly by those wishing to have bushy beard. The application could be also performed to correct the patchy beards for various reasons.
The checks to be conducted prior to conducting the beard transplant enable us to identify the areas where beard can be transplanted. It is possible to achieve natural appearance with the hair follicles to be selected and the incisions to be created according to the natural growth direction of beards in the beard transplant conducted by using the FUE technique. First of all, the expectations of the patient are required to be determined with mutual discussions. Then, application could be initiated.

Why is Beard Transplant Made?
With beard transplant, we can ensure that the beards of men that have appearance concerns grow thicker and in the desired way.
Scarcity problem that might occur on beards for various reasons might be inherent or occur in subsequent ages. In this case, it is possible to provide the desired appearance on beards with beard transplant procedures for those wishing to have bushy beards.
How to apply it?
First of all, it should be planned very well. To do this, the beard structure of the person should be examined. Upon completion of the necessary analysis for transplantation to be made in the sparse areas, the application can be initiated. The areas where transplantation will be made are determined by marking them with skin markers. Hair follicles collected from the back of head are transplanted into the desired areas. Bad appearance might occur if the incisions are not created anatomically and in a way that is suitable for natural beard growth. At this point, it is important that the procedure is conducted by specialized doctors.
