Our 27-year-old patient who struggled to lose weight despite her efforts, visited our hospital for Sleeve Gastrectomy. After being thoroughly examined by our Dr. Mustafa Onder Dolap, our Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Specialist, and necessary tests were conducted.
Preparations for the surgery were carried out, and our patient underwent examined by our specialists from Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Nutrition and Dietetics departments. Subsequently, endoscopic examination, blood tests, and radiological assessments (including abdominal ultrasound and chest X-ray) were completed. Following these examinations and procedures, the surgery was arranged for our patient, having no obstacles to undergo the surgery.
Upon a successful surgery, our patient was monitored for three nights in our hospital and then was discharged in good health.
One week after the surgery, our patient returned for a follow-up appointment and was found to be in excellent health. A weight loss of 9 kilograms in one-week period was observed and our patient expressed her gratitude to our doctor, Dr. Dolap, and his team, as well as to all the nurses and staff who cared for her.
