51-year-old Manuela Neumann, from Germany, sought Sleeve Gastrectomy at our hospital. She expressed her struggles with obesity despite numerous attempts to lose weight.
Upon her arrival at our hospital, Mrs. Manuela was examined by our Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Specialist, Dr. Mustafa Onder Dolap, and underwent necessary tests. She was thoroughly evaluated by our Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Nutrition and Dietetics Specialists. Subsequently, endoscopic examination, blood tests, and radiological assessments (including abdominal ultrasound and chest X-ray) were carried out. After these evaluations, no obstacles were identified to proceed with the surgery, and the operation was planned.
The operation was successfully performed by both of our hospital’s Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Specialists, Dr. Okay Pirti and Dr. Dolap. After four nights of post-operative stay for monitoring, Mrs. Neumann was discharged from our hospital in good health.
