Curtain Removed With Phaco Method: Cataract Treatment

Our patient, Mr. Stoil Georgiev from Bulgaria, contacted our International Patient Department. He shared his complaints with us related to decreased vision. Our patient was invited to our hospital for an examination and investigations. Mr. Georgiev’s case was taken over by our Ophthalmologist, Dr. Cigdem Akdag Kocer. After detailed investigations, cataract in his left eye and occlusion of the blood vessels supplying the retina in both eyes have been detected.

During the surgery, cataract was removed (Phacoemulsification) from the left eye, and an Intravitreal Injection was administered to the right eye. The treatment continued with laser therapy to treat the areas with vascular occlusion. As a result, we already observed a significant improvement in our patient’s vision. With the help of Argon Laser Therapy, we aim to maintain the achieved results permanently.

Mr. Georgiev expressed his gratitude to Dr. Kocer and our colleagues from the International Patient Services Department, who were consistently there for him at every stage of his treatment. We also thank him for trusting us for his treatment.

The entire team at Corlu Vatan Hospital wishes Mr. Georgiev a long and healthy life.
