On October 4, 2024, our Neurosurgery Specialist, Op. Dr. Oğuz ÖZEL, successfully performed a Microdiscectomy and Foraminotomy on our patient who traveled from Australia to seek treatment at our hospital.
Our patient visited Corlu Vatan Hospital with complaints of lower back and left leg pain and reported having undergone two previous lumbar hernia surgeries. Upon examination, sensory loss and pain in the left leg were detected, and surgical intervention was recommended.
Following the patient’s consent, the Microdiscectomy and Foraminotomy procedure was carried out. This surgery aimed to relieve pressure on the nerves by removing herniated disc fragments and widening the nerve canals.
After a successful operation and recovery process, our patient was discharged in good health on October 7, 2024 and expressed gratitude to Op. Dr. Oğuz ÖZEL and our medical team.
