Our 27-year-old patient sought medical attention at our hospital due to persistent pain in the left groin area. He informed us that he had previously undergone Varicocele surgery in another institution. After an examination by our Urologist, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Murat Rifaioglu, further tests revealed the presence of both Varicocele and Inguinal Hernia. It was decided that both conditions could be addressed simultaneously during the same operation. Dr. Mustafa Onder Dolap, our General Surgeon, also examined the patient, and preparations for the operation began on the same day.
In this specialized procedure, Dr. Rifaioglu performed a successful Left Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Varicocelectomy, while Dr. Dolap simultaneously conducted a laparoscopic Preperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair surgery.
Thanks to the minimally invasive approach, our patient was able to start walking shortly after the operation. After spending one night in the hospital for observation purposes, he was discharged in good health.
