We would like to share the story of our 71-year-old patient from the Bulgaria and her successful treatment at our hospital.
Ms. Tonka Boeva contacted our International Patients Department, reporting severe pain in her back and lower back. After reviewing the medical reports she provided, she was invited for a physical examination and additional tests to assess her current condition.
Upon her arrival, our patient was examined by our neurosurgery specialist, Dr. Abdullah TEMİZKAN. A detailed physical examination and radiological assessments, including MRI and computed tomography, revealed multiple osteoporotic fractures in the thoracic and lumbar spine. These fractures had led to a kyphotic (hunched) posture.
Considering the patient’s age, chronic conditions, and overall health status, vertebroplasty was recommended. The following day, our neurosurgeon, Dr. Abdullah TEMİZKAN, performed the procedure. To correct the acquired kyphotic posture, a kyphoplasty balloon was used during the surgery to restore the bones to their normal alignment and height.
Under X-ray guidance, Dr. Abdullah TEMİZKAN precisely filled the fractures and collapsed areas by injecting bone cement. Following a two-day postoperative observation period, the patient was discharged in good health and expressed great satisfaction with the pain relief she experienced. She sincerely thanked Dr. Abdullah TEMİZKAN and the entire medical team for their professionalism and attentive care.
The entire team at Çorlu Vatan Private Hospital extends our best wishes to our patient for a smooth and successful recovery. We wish her continued health and well-being in the future.
